Fort De Soto Beach St. Petersburg Florida Engagement Session

Paige and Dylan’s engagement session almost didn’t happen on the day it was scheduled… If you look closely in some of the photos, you may be able to see signs of rain all around us! If you are familiar with Florida beaches, you know that you are able to clearly see storms coming your way, and it looks very ominous. In fact, it was pouring down rain when I was driving to the shoot. BUT look what we got out of it! Florida weather is so unpredictable, that a lot of times it is better to just stick to the plan. I am so glad I did, because these photos from Paige & Dylan’s St. Petersburg beach engagement session are some of my new absolute favorites!

When Paige contacted me, she knew she wanted their photos taken in the greater Tampa Bay area, but she wanted the location to have something special or unique about it. She and I researched and bounced ideas off each other back and forth until she suggested Fort De Soto beach in St. Pete. I looked it up and was immediately so excited! During the session, Paige talked about how important it was to her that the location we chose felt like them. Pairing a romantic beach location at sunset with the rustic fort backdrops turned out to be just perfect.

Watching these two make each other laugh and hold each other close was so sweet, even with an impending storm nearby. Make sure to scroll down to see the sign they brought to include in their photos– the sign relates to the fact that Dylan proposed to Paige IN IRELAND! How amazing is that? Congratulations, you two!
