Vincent and Kristen’s Appleton Museum wedding was full of modern elegance…a dream to photograph! Besides all the beautiful details, their day was also the most sentimental and heartfelt wedding I’ve captured. I wish I was prepared with a tissue to hear the vows they wrote each other standing on the steps they had their very first date.
I arrived to Kristen’s hotel room early that morning before their brunch wedding began. Kristen’s makeup artist (Danielle Drake) knew the couple and was talking about the way Vincent looks at Kristen. I also knew this sweet couple beforehand, and had the privilege of capturing their proposal in St. Augustine as well as their engagement photos… so I knew exactly what Danielle meant. It would be evident to any passerby how crazy these two are about each other. Their head over heels kind of love is what’s found in movies (no exaggeration).
One example of the many heartfelt moments of their day was when the couple exchanged letters and gifts and prayed with each other before the ceremony (I was holding back tears behind my camera once again). Every detail found at their ceremony and reception was so perfectly thought out and designed by the couple. The geometric copper pieces by Floral Architecture added to the modern theme I love so much and were probably my favorite design element. Throughout the reception area there were photos of the couple as well as little write ups about their story- like the Story of the Pennies- perfect for this couple who had a tradition of making wishes and tossing coins into fountains (wait til you see the photo of the grand fountain)!
I felt so honored to have a part in this couple’s love story. Congratulations Vincent & Kristen!
