Caleb and Erika’s winter wedding at the Hilton in Ocala, Florida was such a truly heartfelt day. A little bit of a backstory for you… over their engagement I got to know them as a couple and hear their story. They have been together for several years while Caleb served our country in the Marines. Their relationship has been mostly long-distance (and I mean, LONG long distance)- overseas while Caleb was in the service and Erika was here in Florida. The first time I met them I could tell right away how crazy they were about each other. They were also celebrating Caleb’s homecoming for good, and were so incredibly happy to finally be living in the same city. During their engagement they also got two puppies together, and included them in their engagement session with me (I was in heaven)!
Their wedding day was on Veteran’s Day, fittingly, and it was a beautiful celebration of the strong love between these two, who have been through so much to get to this day. It was a very family oriented wedding and there were many tears throughout the day. Erika arrived to the ceremony in a horse and carriage provided by Hilton Ocala, which was quite an entrance! We discovered later when posing with the horse that he must have been hungry as he almost took a big bite out of Erika’s bouquet!
When you look through these images, look at the way Caleb looked at Erika…I believe every bride deserves to marry a man who looks at her that way. I think it is obvious to anyone how much love is between these two and it was such a honor to be the one to capture this part of their love story.
