Chris + Nicole’s elegant gold and white wedding took place at The Westin Hotel in Lake Mary, Florida, just north of Orlando. The bride and groom had moved to Florida recently, so The Westin’s tropical palm-tree filled property was the perfect venue. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were all so happy it didn’t rain at all (very unusual for summertime in Central Florida)!
It is always an absolute honor to photograph a wedding, but each time I do I become more and more grateful that this what I get to do for a living. A wedding day is full of so many meaningful moments, and Chris & Nicole’s was no different. The first thing I saw when I walked into her hotel room was a beautiful bouquet of red roses that Chris had sent to Nicole…so sweet! I enjoyed spending time with Nicole and her bridesmaids/sisters, and witnessing how close they all were. Nicole had the biggest smile on her face the whole day…she was just beaming! Their personalized vows brought tears to just about everybody’s eyes in the room (including mine). In their vows, they each said how they would have waited for each other for as long as it took. It was evident that this bride and groom share something truly special together, and also have such loving friends by their side.
Their reception decor was very elegant and continued with their gold and white theme. The night included many heartfelt toasts, as well as special songs the bride and groom dedicated to various wedding guests. Chris & Nicole are just as fun as they are sweet though, and there was no shortage of dancing or laughter that night! Their wedding was one for the books and I wish them all the happiness this life can bring.
