Abby and Mike had the FIRST WEDDING EVER at the brand new World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, this past weekend, and oh my was it one for the books! The (giant) property is so pristine, and everywhere you look is super picturesque (quite a photographer’s dream)! WEC has a little white chapel with outdoor stonework that sits atop a hill, and that’s where Abby and Mike exchanged vows. Guests were escorted down to the chapel via golf carts as (many) horses walked by. The bridal party got ready at WEC’s sister venue, Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club, just down the road, which always makes for beautiful backdrops – be sure to scroll down to see Abby’s bridal portraits at the grand staircase *heart eyes*. After the ceremony, we took a golf cart to the other side of the property right by the main arena as a show was going on, and took some of my favorite bride and groom golden hour portraits! Portraits with the horse statue, flags, and grand hotel in the background were something the photo + video team HAD to get (scroll down to see what I mean)! BUT as pretty as the area was, Mike and Abby’s joyful and radiant demeanor the entire day was what really stood out. They are such a fun loving couple and it was an honor to be the one to capture their big day.
PS- If you are in the Central Florida area, you definitely need to make a day trip to the World Equestrian Center – it is open to the public daily, and you can walk around the stunning property as horses walk past you, catch a horse jumping event with, eat at some delicious restaurants, get a snack at the cutest candy shop, and shop for merch and horse gear!
