Having the opportunity to visit Ocala’s newest country club, Adena Golf and Country Club, is always a highlight for me. Pair that with getting to shoot an engagement session and you have one happy Brittany! I met Erika earlier this year at the Downtown Ocala Bridal Expo that was held at the Ocala Ballroom. Although that day was somewhat of a blur with how busy it was, Erika stood out to me. I remember connecting with her just in the few minutes we got to talk at that bridal show, and going home hoping I’d have the chance to talk to her again. Long story short, I am thrilled she and Caleb chose me to be their wedding photographer! Although Erika and Caleb have been together for several years, the majority of their relationship has been long distance because Caleb was in the Marines. Often times they were thousands of miles away from each other. Caleb was faithful to send roses through the mail for every anniversary they had (so sweet!!). He had just recently come home only a little while before their engagement session. You could tell they were just so happy to be together, in the same place. They also had just gotten two puppies before their engagement session and wanted to bring them along! Being such a dog lover, I was very excited to add two puppies into their photos. Delta and Leah were an adorable pair, and had fun exploring the landscapes Adena has to offer…including a waterfall. Yes, a waterfall in Ocala! We headed down to this waterfall at the end of the session and I think all of us felt like we were in another place…another country…Disney World…somewhere far away from Ocala. It was an amazing experience I got to see through my lens that day. I can’t wait to photograph these two again on their wedding day this November!
