Making Strides Ocala 

A perk of living in a smaller city is that it is easier to get really plugged into the community.  Most community issues, events, and organizations have a pretty loud voice if your ears are open to listen.  I am very thankful for this and greatly enjoy being actively involved in my community. 

One of the events I am honored to be a part of the Executive Planning committee for this year is the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Walk in Ocala, Florida.  This is an annual walk that I have enjoyed participating in a few different cities over the years.  There are many 5Ks you can do, but this one always has some extra passion in my opinion as so many people dress up and really rock their pink! 

It’s difficult to find someone who has not been affected by cancer, whether that be by a relative, a friend, or even themselves.  One of my greatest wishes is for there to finally be a cure for this awful disease.
